The app says the glasses are unavailable+
Three gates, in order: Connect glasses (approve INotStudy in the Meta AI app), Glasses camera (a second approval there), Bluetooth (Android’s prompt). Settings → Glasses & permissions shows which one is shut. If all three are open and the glasses still say disconnected, wake them from the case and wait for the Meta AI app to show them as connected — the link drops when they sleep.
Why can’t everyone use the glasses yet?+
Meta has not opened its glasses platform to public apps. Until it does, INotStudy’s glasses capture works for testers on its release channel: you need a Meta account, and the invitation goes to the email address on that account. Everything else in the app works without it. The support address on the Play listing is where to ask for a tester place.
A new model came out; where is it?+
The model list is the provider’s own, fetched with your key when you save it, refreshed when a day old, or on demand: Settings → The brain → Refresh. The built-in list only shows before the first fetch.
Gemma is slow / the download failed+
Gemma 4 on the phone loads in about eight seconds per session and answers in about half a minute on a current flagship; set the timeout to 120–180 s. The download needs 3.7 GB (E4B) or 2.6 GB (E2B) plus half a gigabyte of headroom, and waits for Wi-Fi unless you allow mobile data.
The watch shows nothing / does not vibrate+
Link the watch in Settings → Watch so a session survives the phone being pocketed, and allow notifications on the watch itself. Under Do Not Disturb, turn off “Show a notification on the watch” in Watch haptics: you get the counted buzz and nothing else.
Moving to a new phone+
Settings → Backup → Export exams gives you a file with every exam; import it on the new phone. API keys do not travel (they are bound to the phone’s secure hardware) — enter them again. Notes are files you still have; add them again to the exam.
The app crashed+
Settings → About keeps the last crash report on your phone (a stack trace, nothing personal). Copy it and send it with a sentence about what you were doing.
